Impact 100 Southern Indiana to grant $100,000

Nonprofits encouraged to attend an upcoming information session

New Albany, IN - 6/8/2018

The Women’s Foundation of Southern Indiana hosted an Impact Announcement Event on Wednesday, June 6th at Ivy Tech. The group was thrilled to announce that, through member contributions, they will be able to grant $100,000 this year to a local nonprofit serving women and/or children.

This is the second year for the Impact 100 Southern Indiana. In its first year, the group raised $50,000. The money is raised by women who become “members.” One hundred percent of members’ donations then go to a local nonprofit. This year’s grant is made possible by the contributions of more than 174 women who joined the effort this year as members.

The group announced that a Request for Proposals for a grant in the amount of $100,000 is now available at the Impact 100 Southern Indiana website www.impact100si.org. Nonprofits serving women and children in Clark, Floyd and/or Harrison counties are eligible, and additional details are contained in the RFP on the website. There will also be three information sessions for nonprofit organizations in the coming week. These sessions will be held on June 11th at 5:00 p.m. at Jeffersonville Public Township Library; June 12th at noon at the Harrison County Community Foundation; and June 15th at noon at the Community Foundation of Southern Indiana. There is an RSVP required and details are located at www.impact100si.org/events.
