Impact100 Raises $156,000 for 2024 Grants

Celebration was in the air Tuesday night at The Prologue in New Albany, Indiana. Impact100 Southern Indiana announced that they had raised $156,000 to fund TWO $78,000 grants to be awarded later this year to TWO nonprofit organizations serving Clark, Floyd, and/or Harrison counties.

The 2024 grant total of $156,000 is the largest grant amount raised by Impact100 Southern Indiana to date and the first time that two grants will be awarded in one year! The 2023 grant total was $140,000. Now in its eighth year, this women-founded, led, and focused nonprofit, has raised $869,000 of grant funding for the Southern Indiana community.

Each year the grant total has increased as more women join the organization. The model for Impact100 is to bring together women, each donating $1,000, to fund an impactful grant to a local nonprofit. 100 women equals $100,000. 100% of donations go into the grant. This year, 156 women contributed $156,000. The women who contribute also evaluate grant applications and vote to decide which nonprofits receive the grants.

The focus of the Impact100 grants can be in any one of five focus areas: arts and culture,  education, family, health and wellness, or the environment. The nonprofits must propose a project that serve unmet needs in the community within Clark, Floyd, and/or Harrison counties, provide transformational change, and can be completed within two years.

Organizations interested in applying for the grants can log onto for details about helpful training sessions for the application process, guidelines, the independent review process, timelines, deadlines, and information about Impact100 Southern Indiana.

The Annual Awards Celebration will be held on Thursday, November 7.  The nonprofit finalists will present brief overviews of their proposed projects, and members will vote to decide on the recipients. Both of the $78,000 grants will be awarded at the end of the evening.
